3D
Models can be generated from 2D plans (hand-drawn
or CAD based), or conceptual sketches, and range from a complete
3D representation of the scheme (including the interior and
exterior), to a modelled environment created to provide a
range of images from just one aspect (similar to a film set).
These images can represent the scheme at either day or night
and can usually be animated if necessary. A range of ‘post
render’ techniques are available and can produce images
with varying graphic effects, including a more traditional
watercolour effect.
Our regular involvement in competition schemes has proved
our ability to work with minimal information to maximum effect.
Architectural training is key to this as we work closely with
the designer to enable high quality images in a very short
time.
The detail required, and the need for day, night, or photomontage
images and the number of views required per model is usually
agreed prior to the commencement of the work and varies for
presentations of differing requirements. The costs and time
implications associated with computer generated images may
be substantially less than expected, and often be an economic
alternative to traditional hand-base presentation techniques.
