Prince’s Reach - Falconer Chester Hall
One of the most highly-anticipated developments in Liverpool for decades, the Prince’s Reach tower, or Liverpool Lexington, as it is otherwise coming to be known, has finally had plans revealed by Moda and Apache Living, who are working together to develop the £82 million, 34 storey project.
Designed by Liverpool-based architects Falconer Chester Hall, the scheme takes inspiration from the city’s historic trading links with New York to bring a taste of the Big Apple to Merseyside.
The building is set to become one of the tallest in the city, just six storeys shorter than West Tower. It is expected that the art deco inspired residential tower will mark the beginning of the £5.5 billion regeneration of Liverpool’s docklands, known as Liverpool Waters, by Peel Group.
The Lexington will feature 304 luxurious rental apartments of various sizes, as well as a residents lounge on the 17th floor. There will be no expense spared in the rest of the amenities on offer to residents either, with plans in place for a roof terrace, fitness studios, a garden, a gym, a 24-hour concierge service, and an indoor cinema.
Details had been hard to come by since late 2015 of this proposed scheme, with many Liverpool residents excited to see what was meant by Sam Egerton’s cryptic tweet back in early 2016 of ‘working on an NYC-style design’. Now that the first images of the iconic tower have been released, the citizens of Liverpool are eagerly awaiting the newest addition their world famous waterfront and city skyline.
